"She used to be this shy, normal little girl...until she found the stage. All of a sudden, she was ordering pizza in strange accents, tap dancing to kill time, and reciting Shakespeare like a second language."
- Dot Suiter, Barbara's mom
Few things make us come alive in life and few of us are lucky enough to know our passion when we are young, if at all. At the age of eight, Barbara found hers playing the role of the magic mirror in a community production of Snow White. She went on to play Ado Annie, Aunt Polly, Lucy in Charlie Brown and slowly, this elementary school outlet blossomed from Peanuts to playhouses in Seattle to proscenium palaces in Vegas.
A native of Los Angeles, Barbara has recently returned to her hometown after earning a BA in Theatre from the University of Washington's School of Drama. She also studied abroad at Syracuse University in London. It is in studying and practicing the arts that Barbara discovered what draws her to acting is a fascination with humanity, a quest to understand and communicate life at its most pedestrian and its most divine. Barbara continues to find film and theater an endlessly thrilling career and with the support of her family and the respect of her acting community, she thrives as an actor in Los Angeles.
